Privacy and storage

Search works entirely without signing in and without cookies. We use no tracking or advertising.

In your browser we only store what is necessary: your theme choice, that you have seen the notice, your email address during an email sign-in, and the Firebase sign-in session data. If you use the Overview, your mapping (tools and chosen alternatives) is also stored locally in the browser until you clear it.

When you sign in we store your user ID, your email address, your lists and the questions you send us. Data is stored in the EU (Firebase, eur3 / europe-west3). You can export your data from My account.

Want us to delete your account? Send a question via “Get help” and we will remove your data.
